One departing user—a vocal critic of the social network—is claiming that Facebook simply doesn’t want to say goodbye to his data, perhaps as a way to antagonize one of its critics. I don’t think it’s a malevolent move; more like a lack of attentiveness when it comes to something that doesn’t add to the IPO-bound company’s bottom line: i.e., letting users easily slip off the site.
